Basic Beliefs

We support the statement of beliefs issued by the Evangelical Alliance however the following represents our basic beliefs in simplified language!

All things were created by and are maintained by God.

Although there is only one God He is three persons– God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit

The Bible is inspired by God and is completely trustworthy and authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct.

No one except Jesus Christ has ever maintained a lifestyle that matches the perfect standards that God expects. Consequently all men face the possibility of eternal separation from a relationship with God.

By dying on a cross and rising from the dead Jesus made it possible for us to have all our wrongdoings forgiven by God and so enter into a relationship with God that will last for eternity.

In order to obtain this forgiveness and eternal relationship we must put our trust in Jesus Christ and in what he accomplished on the cross, choosing to reject a selfish lifestyle and embrace a Lifestyle that is governed by God (revealed to us in the Bible and by His Holy Spirit).

Every Christian has a part to play in church life and practices.

Jesus will return one day after which every person will face judgement by God. Those who repented of a lifestyle that rejected God and his standards and accepted, by faith, Jesus Christ as their Lord will go to an eternal relationship with God. Those who chose to reject Jesus Christ as their Lord will be excluded from an eternal relationship with God.
